Being a vegetarian in Geneva it can often be difficult to get a tasty satisfying meal in a restaurant. Even though many offer some sort of vegetarian option, I don’t always want to eat salad! The following (far from comprehensive) list includes those where I’ve enjoyed particularly satisfying appetizing vegetarian fare!
Mikado – I agree with Nisa’s comments and would just add that they do great vegetarian sushi to take away. They’re only open during the day though and are closed at least one day in the week.
Sagano – rue de Montbrillant 86, 1202 Geneva 022 733 11 50
If you’re planning to go at lunchtime it’s best to reserve.
Nagomi – rue de Zurich, 1201 Geneva 022 732 3823
Have only been here a couple of times for lunch but each time it left a good impression.
Caf? Gandhi, 37 rue de Neuch?tel, 1201 Geneva 022 731 4121
This resto has become v. popular but I recently discovered that they are also open on Saturday lunchtime – clearly a little-known fact as they were practically empty!
Shahi – place de Cornavin 2, 1201 Geneva 022 738 44 36
Particularly recommend the lunchtime vegetarian thali
Incontro – place de la Synagogue 2, 1204 Geneva 022 311 7524
And La Trattoria, rue de la Servette 1, 1201 Geneva 022 734 9476
Two of my favourite Italian restos in Geneva.
Sam Lor Thai – rue de Monthoux 17, 1201 Geneva 022 736 8055
