I can't help you in a practical way but I can say this: try not to live directly under the flight path. The planes are pretty low over Versoix.

It's not a big problem. You will get used to planes in a week.

Hi Sally,

I work in Versoix, though I commute from Geneva everyday. There is a train every 30 minutes and it takes around 15 minutes. There is also a bus, but I think it takes longer.

Finding accommodation in the canton of Geneva is pretty tought, though probably easier in Versoix that in the city of Geneva. Basically all the people try to find the same kind of aparment, and as there have been no new developments for ages ... so the number of apartments suitable for 1 single person is scarce. Most of the offer is splitted between 25 m2 studios, and large, nice and expensive apartments. I would recommend you to look for temporary accomodation at first and then once here look something more adecuate to your needs.

This website is quite well-known for flat seekers: www.homegate.ch and of course you also have the ads in the "Classified" in glocals.

Don't hesitate to ask if you need further information
