Hullo folks,
I am an Indian citizen working in Switzerland with a L Permit. I am planning to go to Kiev, Ukraine for sight seeing.
As per the information on internet, Schengen area citizen do not require any Visa for 90 days of stay in Kiev while Indian citizens need to apply for one. So would having an L permit help me go there without a visa or would I need to apply for one?
In case I need to apply for a tourist visa, how do I go about that?

Hello Rohit,
As an Indian citizen, you will need a visa to travel to the Ukraine, no matter what kind of Swiss residence permit you have.
You may apply for the visa in Switzerland (I'm not sure if the consulate in Geneva has a visa department, if no, you will have to apply with the embassy in Bern). However, they may require a minimum remaining validity of your L permit of six months.

I hd sent a mail to the Ukrainian embassy and they responded saying that I can apply a tourist visa online.
