I subscribed last Saturday to Orange Wireless Internet Max. The store assured me I was getting a hot spot (access for both laptop and iPad). Not the case... I only got wireless laptop through a USB. I received no activation code, and when I contacted MobileZone, they told me I hadn't understood correctly (the English-speaking salesperson) and that no such activation code existed. It arrived 2 days later via postal mail. The service stopped working Tuesday and Wednesday, saying no connection existed.
My service stopped again Saturday afternoon. I keep getting a message that I have exceeded my limit and that I have used 1024MB. I called Saturday night and was told "you cannot expect access all the time; we may be working on our network." (Note: I had a Swisscom modem borrowed for my office for 3 months and NEVER had a problem.) I called again on Sunday and was 1) told that my account is in French, so he was going to transfer me; 2) lectured on how to behave and speak; 3) refused access to a supervisor; and 4) promised someone would look at my issue and respond to me. I have rebooted continuously, removed and replaced the SIM card, and checked the settings.
I have had no access for almost 48 hours, in addition to the gap in service last week. I have not received a solution. I still get a message that no connection exists. And the Orange customer service people keep assuring me that my account information is correct.
"Internet Everywhere Max" should afford me coverage for more than 5 days in a month and 1024MB of data. And yes, Internet Everywhere should actually always work (and customers should be notified ahead of time of service outages)... "You should not expect service all the time." REALLY?
And, if one bothers having customer service people when all the stores are closed, one might recommend that they actually spend more time solving problems than lecturing customers. Lastly... call me crazy... but they should actually deliver service and correct problems.
I was going to get Orange mobile with the Glocals discount, but you absolutely must be joking.
BTW, Swisscom, which appears to be the only provider that actually does allow private customers to have a wireless hotspot has an unwritten or documented policy that requires holders of L permits (even for 5 year permit holders) to give them a 1,000CHF deposit for the duration of the contract. One is simply refused when submitting an online application; in the store one also receives a "Refused" message without explanation; and on the phone, it takes about 1/2 hour to receive said information.
Any ideas on how to get a wireless connection that works here?
