Watching BBC iPlayer
 Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of watching BBC iPlayer from France or Switzerland?

The website is programmed to recognise 'foreign' IP addresses and prevent them from watching BBC TV (although not listening to the radio) presumably for copyright reasons. However I understand there are ways round this - has anyone made it work?

I don't mind using a paying service, in fact I would happily pay for a UK TV licence if it meant I could watch the BBC anytime I wanted.

Cheers,

Adam

 Hi,

you need to use a UK proxy or VPN. One possibility is http://www.ukproxyserver.co.uk/info/uk-tv-streaming/

(I'm not specifically recommending them but it's a place to start...)

From memory I think there is a comprehensive thread about this on the englishforum.

Cheers

free bbc tv and itv via satellite. bbc HD is also free. point your dish at 28.2 degrees east. you'll need an HD digital satellite tuner etc.

 Hi Adam,

Try Zattoo :-)

You get BBC World Service, ITV 1, BBC 1, EuroSport, CNN all for free through a desktop player and it's all free.

Here is the link: www.zatto.com

Have fun!
