What about passing through a red light at the traffic lights? And what about if
you are not a Swiss resident but a EU citizen?
There is the risk to stop you at the border?
Thanks.

Very funny...
probably less to fear from state forces than from another fool like you crossing at same time lol
personally I also often cross well after yellow has gone red but I also have the front bumper to carry me through should a fool find his/her way at the same spot...

lol what's your real question Mr? if you're not afraid of state forces then your question is irrrelevant. Just be ready to handle potential monetary issue with someone you might occasionally collide with (cf Reka's details)
...signals for left and right?? what's that?
post a picture. I wave my hand from the window when I want to turn...

Then you would be dead wrong.
I didn't read anyone mentioned there has been a bilateral agreement between Swiss and French/German/Italian/Austrian Police forces to exchange infos since (late)2011 for speeding tickets and violation fines amounting over CHF 100.-
In your case you could expect to receive at home a fine to pay without delay since a red light fine costs CHF 250.- plus admin fees and if you don't you can be prosecuted by your country authorities as part of conventions. For those who did the same offense several times they might be pleased to hear the 2nd fine costs more if violation is proved within subsequent 12 month and even more if there is a 3rd and more if a 4th come in picture, etc...
Furthermore the swiss Customs make random checks at border posts on EU & foreign license plates of passing vehicles to spot and stop cars which are reported on police lists.

I might receive a fine in case there was a camera at the traffic lights :(
It was already red colour when I passed trying to avoid a forbidden zone. Gps's fault.

If "it was already red" when you drove through, how is your GPS to blame?

I was using a friend's swiss car and drove to zurich. He was later sent a 250 franc fine and a pic of me driving through a red light.

to Cecile V :
She thought her GPS will report ALL "teddy bears" speed tracking machines even posted on traffic lights like some do in Italy and France
Diana R: Quit smoking for a while it will save you money for the fine ;))

Well the friend can tell them who was driving the car if he/she refuses he will be fined for not complying with the law. Well better pay the fine and forget the rest.

Oh don't worry, I went to the police station and paid up.
In that case I will pay the fine.

In the evening, not knowing the city it happens. I happened to pass with red line as I saw at last minute that it was a forbidden zone.
