What's up in Swiss German part

I am moving from Geneva to a small tourist town in Swiss German part for a year.

it could be most weird time in my life, for a single woman, is not so easy, besides work, I don't know where to go to meet the same level crowds.

I used to work in international shipping , but now in luxury goods , already big difference. I just want to study some german, but here most of the people speak Swiss German.

I would like to get to contact with people which can meet sometimes, but don't know where to go. Any glocals in Thun or bern? Sometimes I really miss Geneva.

I felt am starting to loose language and culture now, though there is a nice view and quite life. But sometimes is really too quite...

Hi,

I'm leaving in Bern. There's a glocals section for Bern too and there are some weekly drinks organized every friday, but apart from that there's not much going on with glocals Bern (especially if you compare to all the glocals stuff going on in Geneva with glocals)

Hi beautystone

If you are going to a German speaking part, it would be a good idea also to mingle with the locals,  check things they do locally. Most of the time they are very helpful to help even if you dont speak German. That starts with a women's gymnastic group which is usually in the evenings, up to other tet-a-tets which take place around.

Good luck, its gonna be fun.
