Got an update about that Wide Eyes Shut party like first time and by the time I could "express my curiosity" it was off line... what's the deal?? looks like it's OK to criticize freely our guest country but not ok to appreciate hedonistic lifestyle (that was the expression used right?)... can't believe we have raving biggots here or do we? :P
live and let live I say...peace & love to all

Events... seems more like an activity to me.. :)I mean... everything that costs energy is an activity. And from what I understand from the post is that people will be very active there! So I move that the post should be under ACTIVITIES
Good point. Plus, if I understand the concept of an Eyes Wide Shut party correctly, a lot of the focus will be on members.

When last did you watch the movie? If memory serves, and yes...it does on occasion fail...there are quite a few who do not actively participate. So...no exerted energy = no activity = event. Yes?
"Want to mingle with like-minded people in the secure feeling of a masked party where all is possible but nothing is mandatory? "
Perhaps this should be listed under both activity and event? That of course could turn into a logistical nightmare for the organiser..those you sign up through the activity would be expected to actively participate and those who go through the event post would be the spectators and frankly should be expected to pay for the show! :w00t:
And of course, those you have paid should believe they will get their monies worth in entertainment, so expect to exert a lot of energy :D
Another option would be to sign up through both activity and event...pay nothing, as you'll be very busy but have the option of resting when necessary. :hehe:

Considering out of the 30,000 people on the site we only have a few forum contributors , in fact mostly those in this thread , then can we assume the same will happen at the "event/activity ", that most will be there to just watch and let others entertain?

Furthermore, I expect most of the people that do contribute won't do it very well.

(+) ironically, the word masked by asterisks is in it's literal form pretty demeaning to women, so why she would use it in conjunction with misogynistic would be anyone's guess. so yeah, while she would probably be too drunk and/or stupid to realise, the last laugh would have been with me. it's important to have that feeling of self security when your standing there squeezing Feldschlossen out of your shirt.

avoid that subject of coaching, for we do not want to form another lynch mob do we ?
And FY and everybody else's I: there was never anything close to a lynch mob.
There was someone advertising a silly thing. I and a few others, including a moderator, pointed out that it was about making money and said that was a bit silly.. Then there was a really fun, random, and diverse thread in which people made and effort and thought in bizarre and funny ways. There was even some meat added to the original bones and then it took its contrary way again. Then there was the statement "I think this thread should be locked now" that came without even a "because...". No reason or anything. Then there was an "I agree" and that was it. Thread over.
Locked was tolerable. It was a fair bit later that it was callously erased from history, taking with it everybody's efforts and all the bizarre and amusing trains of thought. Gone. Pity.

I don't care what happens. But this post may demonstrate that I can be pretty harsh judge when it comes to men. And a pretty lenient one when it comes to women.

Will this this activity be slightly different from the movie?
In that case the organiser is not giving an accurate impression of how the activity will be and what will happen there!!!
@ Lannah/Maria: You need some extra eyes (opened) to watch your back? I think I won't have any problem when I sign up as a single lady... it's all very discreet and masked, right? He will never notice :D

That's pity that the swingers are not for common usage! I was expecting a lot of swingers, bring the whole family to the party and have fun. Children first dressed up as pirates or fairy by Swisskiss, our official costume designer, and then heading for the plaground with the swingers. Parents can go then to a "different" sort of playground.
Lets call it the "adults playground"... prohibited for children.
Of course big BBQ afterwards because actvities make you hungry :D

2) What's in Swiss Cheese?
