I am having trouble buying a vingnette for my car which I have just brought in from the UK. Becuase of the time of year the usual petrol stations are not carrying them, until the new ones come in for 2010. I've also been to the border twice, but both times they were unmanned. Any ideas anyone?
Without it I could get fined, which I would like to avoid!

You may want to hold off another 10 days; usually the following year's vignette is on sale as of 1 December

exactly, wait a few days as the 2009 vignette will be out of date in one month. but you can get the 2010 vignette as of dec. 1st. (the price for the 2009 is still the full 40.-sfr regardless of when you buy it)
