Lent a friend a very expensive Samsonite suitcase for his holiday and he returned it to me in a far from pristine condition! Refuses to acknowledge that it was his fault! So would like to know if there is any way I can get it professionally cleaned.

Sorry dryclean rather than cry clean although I did feel like crying when I saw the pitiful state of my suitcase.

You would need a lot of tears to clean that suitcase, but you might give it a try and see if crying on it works... otherwise, it's just a suitcase, and some scars will develop as part of usage. I say, if it still closes and it does its purpose, then it's still good.

Some of the airlines use the Cordonnerie de Longemalle for baggage repairs caused by mishandling, etc., so that’s an firm that should be able to advise whether dry-cleaning your suitcase is feasible.
They have two shops -- one just off place Longemalle, the other in Eaux-Vives, close to the “Vollandes” stop on the No. 2 and 6 trolley-bus lines. Have a look at the website for a map and other info.
However, I would reckon that even if something can be done to refurbish
your suitcase, it may well come at a price.
Best wishes anyway,
R.

Sorry, fat finger trouble again. For “an firm”, please read “a firm”.
