I have a US bought 2G iPhone. The digitizer on it stopped working (i.e. I cannot use the touch screen) I went to the apple store to be told that the 2G version was never sold in Switzerland and so they don't fix it... anyone has any idea? I know it is possible to do it yourself but I am really not looking forward to that given the 2G (unlike the 3G/s) opens from the back and needs to be completely disassembled before getting to the screen. Any help will be appreciated...

Thanks Katja. Good to hear from you... I wrote to these guys. Lets see if they can help. We should arrange a vegetarian dinner soon, how about next week?

rprav: iPodSpital told me the same thing that the Apple store told you....
I successfully changed my screen and know someone else who did, too. It's not *so* bad. there is a place on route de Lausanne which might be able to help.
and, what about a veg dinner?
