Where is a good beginners snowboarding slope

Hi All!!  I had my first time snowboarding in January and, since i have a lot of free time here in Geneva I want to do some more!!  Can anybody tell me where there are good beginners slopes aorund the Geneva/Nyon area?  I have been up to St Cerge walking but there seems to be mainly snowshoeing, can I practice snowboarding up there too?

I'm looking to buy a board soon so any help or advice would be mega appreciated!!  Thanks in advance!!

Chamonix!

Go straight up to the top of Grand Montets, and you'll be an expert by the time you get to the bottom;-)

But seriously... St-Cergue is probably as good as anywhere for you:

Almost all the stations have a beginners slope (exception above)

Best to buy boots and hire a board for the rest ot the season at a shop that's not in a resort (cheaper). When you're no longer a beginner, buy a board.
