Where to buy vitamins/training supplements..?

Have tried Oschner Sports... ok for gels and one or two drink compounds - Have also tried the pharmacy's and there's a very limited range, and mostly homeopathic stuff.

But is there anywhere that does a whole range of vitamins and training supplements (amino acids, omega-3 (fish oils), endurance capsules, etc, etc)

Have searched this forum, thought I would get a shed load of answers without having to post, but nothing on here... so if anyone knows of a hidden shop on some random side-road of Geneva, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

Amazon.fr and have it delivered to an address in France.  Switzerland is rather hopeless for this kind of stuff - the prices and poor selection will turn your hair grey.

Decathlon stores in France have a few products, including a fairly cheap whey powder.  GO Sport stocks a few as well.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/

they ship everywhere, and i used to order with friends and split the tax cost if it gets above the $70/80 level where you pay for the import tax. even with that, it still came out cheaper than the rest.

otherwise i came across a sports/nutrition shop in vitamparc when i went climbing there. they had a whole wall full of stuff so that could work too.

Thanks everyone.  I now have an answer for anyone finding this post in the future... read on...  (and I appreciate the links too for overseas shops too, thanks everyone)

Thanks Careena for the St John's Gym suggestion - I went in, the guy has a few supplements but he recommended a shop called 'Body Alive Fitness Shop' on 14 Av de Frontenex, Euax Vives.  His directions to me were that it is opposite the 'Velvet Cabaret Nite Club'... he was a bit surprised that I didn't know where that was... honestly, I didn't know... totally lost my street cred with him, oh well!!  So I found it (and the Velvet club, mental note made) and the guy in the shop spoke English, and knew his trade and clearly looks like he's active in it too - nice bloke!!

However... by coincidence, there is also a shop a few doors up on the same street, number 34, called 'Running Planet' - Another nice bloke (what are the odds of that in Geneva on the same day?) he spoke good English too (odds just increased again!)  This also has a decent range of supplements more specific to endurance, where the Body Alive shop is muscle specific.

For me, a combination of a few things from both shops worked out perfect... the latter has some good running gear and accessories too, I recently bought a pair of top of the range Asics running shoes (Nimbus) and made the mistake of checking his price... alas they were a bit cheaper... oh well.

Hope that helps someone else one day - thanks again everyone for taking the time to reply... see you all in the Velvet!!

Cheers

Dean
