Hello All! I have recently moved to Geneva and I am looking to rent an apartment. My preference would certainly be on the left side of the city, ideally Eaux Vives or Plainpalais. Provided that already to find something here is a challenge, what are the main differences between the two areas, if any? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Plainpalais is a bit of a rough neighborhood, although much depends on where exactly you live. Eaux Vives is - in my opinion - nicer and is closer to the lake. But frankly I'd decide depending on the specific apartment (price, size, etc.)
