Why glocals' yallo promotion doesn't attract members?
Hi folks,

Quick question, to try to understand why one of our Exclusive Offers isn't attracting members.

We recently negotiated and then promoted on glocals this 50% discount on a Yallo pre-paid SYM card starter-pack. We thoght members would love it, yet so far only few members used the offer.

We're not sure why it's not working, and are asking you:

Why is the yallo offer not working for YOU? Is it cos you didn't know about it? Or cos it's just not interesting for you? Or other stuff?

Thanks alot for your input

Oded

Hi -- when I tried to sign up for the offer at Confederation Center the line was really, really long!  I haven't had time to go back since but am trying to figure out when might be the best time of the day....:ermm:

[quote]Hi folks

....

However, so far, the yallo offer is not really working too well, and the number of people who have taken advatage of the offer is pretty low.

well, I do think that the answear is in the add... "starter pack"

just a guess out in the blue, but I do think that most people here have a mobile phone, and if you are happy with the service and the phone number why should I change? Ok, changing gives you 10 CHF (pay 10 get 20..) but its not worth the hassel to change phone service, at least not for 10 CHF,

cheers

agree with sandholm and with translator.

i already have a mobile phone, a mobile number, and a mobile plan. for a chf 10 saving, i will not go throgh the hassle of switching plans / numbers. and for a chf 10 saving, i will not walk around with 2 sym cards either.

and translators point is also revelant: even if i needed the yallo card, to wait in line and do the process, all for a chf 10 saving, is not worth it.

now, about the newcomers. when i was a new comer, i used the opportunity to get a new mobile phone for free, when i get a full mobile plan. and since i believe most glocals members come to geneva for serious work and they assume they'll be here for 1-2 years, it's possible many of them get the full mobile plan, and then get the latest mobile for free.

having said all the above, i found your other exclusive offers very good, and i regularly use your offer of ebookers flights.

I have a phone but have a dilemma in knowing what is the best value for me.

If I use prepaid, is it expensive for both sender and receiver when using cross border. Previously when in Geneva I had a Swisscom sim and prepaid but I have been told that there are better deals.

Any thoughts/advice?

Thanks

Why am I not interested in the offer?

First of all, like many people, I had not noticed it.

Number two, I agree with the above posts: 10 francs isn't worth a lot of effort. Maybe that if the discount was on the minutes paid - thus allowing a recurring discount - it would be different?

Number three, after reading the thread, I checked on comparis. For my own consumption, my Migros Prepaid is cheaper, so the 10 francs that I would spare would be quickly canceled by additionnal expenses.

That's all folks!

Hi there!
I just arrived to Switzerland and I'm considering buying a Yallo SIM card.
Is still this offer valid? I tried to download the boucher but it looks like the link is broken.
In addition, I saw that if I get a friend recommendation, we get extra 10 CHF each. Can anyone using Yallo send me a recommendation?
Thanks a lot!
