I am trying to raise as much money as I can for charity by running in the Marathon des Sables 2012, the toughest footrace on earth.  This is an ultramarathon of 150 miles held over 6 days through the Sahara desert in Morocco.  The charity I will be running for is Mencap and my fundraising target is a minimum of 9,500GBP.

To encourage people who don't know me to sponsor me, anyone who sponsors me who mentions the words "Glocals" or "English Forum" in their message on my sponsorship page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/PaulJanes and gives their glocals or english forum member name so I have a way to contact them will stand the chance of winning a bottle of Vega Sicilica Unico (Ribera del Duero) 1991 which is worth around 250CHF or more.

I will select someone at random once the total number of sponsors on my page with "Glocals" or "English Forum" in their message reaches 200 people.  If the number of people never reaches 200 then I will hold on to the bottle.  This gives people an incentive to spread the word until I reach this number of people.  In order to stand a chance of winning your donation needs to be 10GBP or more.

I am happy to have someone who is well trusted within the Glocals or EnglishForum community draw out the name of the winner and once I approach 200 people I will contact the organisers to find out if someone will be willing to be an independent witness.
