Windows 7 Acer Aspire 5532 recovery disks

Hello,

Does anybody have a set of recovery disks for an Acer laptop, Aspire 5532?

I got one from my brother who tried to switch from the original Win7 32 bit version to a fancier 64 bit ultimate version. Which turned the laptop into a sort of vegetable, now only able to boot and claim for a missing BOOTMNGR file. It looks like Acer pairs the customized OS and the machine on BIOS, so if you try anthing, you just lose the toy.

Of course, I have no Win7 disks from ACER (no longer provided these days) and no recovery disks made immediately after switching on the laptop after the purchase (disks made, but lost into an ocean of other CDs&DVDs).

So, if you managed to make the Recovery disks as indicated by Acer and you still have them, can you please share them so I can try to have the laptop back up and running?

I live in Geneva, available to move on pretty short notice.

Of course, your help will be highly appreciated and re-imbursed accordingly.

or, you can go to this site and order the two discs for $30.- which may well be worth it.

you might want to check into swiss law regarding downloading material from the internet.

in switzerland, downloading ( not PSP ) is permitted.

if you have contradictory information, please let us know.

Moreover, the argument can be made, that he already paid for the software (and/or its license), that he is looking for.

There may - or may not - be good arguments against software "piracy", but hinging it on replacing lost recovery disks for an already paid-for software license isn't one.
