Wine dine !

hi all,

While pairing wine with food, is it that red wines go best with red meat? .... while seafood and poultry are the best options for white wines?

What will be your best way to have wine with ? .....

Hello!

-traditionally- YES, red wines accompany red meats and white wines the whites... However, nowadays I think it is not so strict anymore and one can enjoy one or the other... as long as it is a good bottle of wine!! ... I hope no French nationals will be shocked with my posting:-))

Otherwise, for best match of this wine with that food.... I would follow the advice of shopkeepers at wine shops.

I recently discovered a small one on rue de Pâquis, opposite Place de la Navigation.  As you 'enter' the Migros, you will see the wine place on your right-hand side.  Staff are pleasant and helpful.

OR.... If you would like to go for professional advice in France,
there is the Vinothèque in Ferney-Voltaire

cheers & santé!
