Yet another blog.. on moving to GVA

Hi all, thought some of you might be interested in my new blog, http://welcometogeneva.blogspot.com/

Essentially I moved to Geneva less than a week ago and thought I'd share my impressions and experiences with anyone else who is in the same position or is moving here soon, or anyone that has nothing else to do than read my ramblings ;)

nice blog, nice story. however, i'm a bit curious about this permis E ?

you might want to look at this web site:

http://www.ch.ch/private/00029/00030/00185/00195/index.html?lang=en

and you will see that such a permit does not exist!!

not to "rain on your parade" but, i know many non europeans who would love to find a full time job here, but have little posibility to get a work permit. it is your employer who must obtain your work permit BEFORE you start to work. so, check your contract and be certain. otherwise, they may not pay you, and, you may be evicted from switzerland as you have not complied with the rules. your employer would also be in trouble.
