Your experience getting a roommate

If anybody here has some experience getting a roommate I'd love to hear from you. Is there a good website you used to post it?  Any watchouts I should be aware of? Good/bad experiences?  Anything you could share would be helpful. I have quite a large 2bedroom flat and am considering getting a roommate to help reduce monthly expenses rather than move out as I really love the flat and location and am interested to hear about people's experiences (good and bad).

If you are not in a hurry, I would suggest that you talk to your friends and colleagues to see if they can recommend you someone.


From personal experience, if you are going to share, get someone else to clean your apartment. Its not cheap, but will make your life much easier.
