Your new-year resolution?
My 5 resolution (below) are pretty boring I'm afraid. What are yours?

  1. Be more Healthy: Eat better & hit the gym more often. I'm now 105 KG: I wanna hit 100 by June09, and 95 by Dec09.
  2. Be more Social: spend more time with friends and less time with the TV / Web
  3. Be more Careful with Money: this year I plan to control my (shrinking) money a lot tighter than before.
  4. Sweat only the big things: I hope to force myself to not get stressed and not waste time over things that don't really matter. This holds for work, personal stuff, love, and everything else.
  5. Be more Francais: after 10 years in GVA, this year I'm going to finally take lessons and improve my french! Bon chance a moi!

What are YOUR resolutions?

What are YOUR resolutions?

Not to decide ANYTHING at this period of the year, especially when tired / dizzy / bored / excited / whatever is not a normal state of mind...

:hehe:

Mine are:

1. Work on the upward trend my life has been taking from last year to keep it going.

2. Manage my money better (I sense a common theme here).

3. Not worry so much how other people might judge me.

There are more but these are good for now. I'm starting on New Years Eve by attending a Glocals event:). Then to work on #3 you'll find me in Promenade Saint-Antoine listening to "Nasca - boulevard des hits" and dancing to Rock and Roll on my own. Anyone want to join me:D?

hmmmm, indeed! last year resolutions repeating themselves!

sooo:

- français! is a priority number 1!!!

- guitar! more efforts in actually attending classes and practicing myself

- value the moment! each and every second as it passes by, start value what i have instead of worrying about future or the past!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! enjoy the snowfall!

If nothing changes, nothing changes.....

And I guess in 2008 not enough did for me, to my satisfaction.

So, although I pick pretty much the same resolutions (and Tinks - I can (and do) also articulate them on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, one-time... basis)...I need to behave differently to achieve them.... Have some ideas. Need to execute better...

So, my list goes:

Daily yoga, learn Italian and the guitar, (potentially qualify as... bit hesitant about time commitment needed here...CTI) coach, volunteer, put up photos and pictures and stop trashing my flat during the week (every week) and when packing for a trip, read Economist weekly and watch news daily, spend weekends away with my mum and bros... find soul mate, hehe. To do this, need to stop spending aimless time in front of computer, start switching computer off by 9pm, stop arriving late, start living in the moment, stop multi-tasking..... pffff stop overwhelming myself.......!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have more FUN. And yes, stop sweating the small stuff...

Nothing original.

I like having resolutions that are fun.  None of that going on a diet stuff.  So here are mine.

1.  Learn how to wake board.

2.  Go out more and have fun with my glocals friends.

3.  Go to see more live music.

Happy New Year to all!

Well, I definitely should spend less time online... and thanks to finding a nice secluded place in the Swiss mountains this wkend, I have been offline spending quality time with friends and learning to ski better.

So mine would be to continue enjoying life to the fullest, learning new skills (diving) and picking up old ones (violin, piano), and to find a new job.

Hi,

I like New Years resolutions because you have to start somewhere.

2008 was a interesting year and learned a lot.

This year I will build on what I learned last year and

I will spend a lot less time at work this year

spend more time with the people who are important and doing things that are important to me, allowing my heart to lead me more directly.

Less superficial relationships

Study, learn and create.

Who knows some of it may actually happen;)

To keep all my old and worn out shoes as it seems that we will be lot of opportunities for “target practicing” in 2009 (banks, politicians, consulates – you named it) Just check-on the news.

…..Oh, I would also like to learn some salsa.

Best wishes to you all, and a happy new year!

Well, I can't say I'm the kind of guy who takes resolutions (it's a screen thing), but I have a project:

I wanna find a Double-Bass (the cheapest possible, old, worn out, with no case, used and disappointed by many people), to gently learn how to deal with it, to be able to play jazz (relatively) with my Dad, who finally decided to learn piano

Since he's the (incredibly) fast learning kind of guy, I gotta hurry.

If we succeed, we might need a rattle-board.

All the best to you all for 2009! :D

Happy New Year to all!

Good resolutions for 2009:

- spend less on goods and more on activities

- stop bothering with other people's life problems and start to solve mine

- work more on developing my private practice

- love every minute of time spent with my kid

- hit the gym at least twice a week

Nothing very exciting I guess, but I prefer attainable goals to start with.
