That would be giving up female secrets (such as women always being able to predict and in cases even lead the behavior of men).... no you better keep the lead of that group...

I can however attend as a guest lecturer - a few secrets can be given up I believe, in the interest of the human race...

Women can most certainly lead the behavior of men.  They do it all the time, as men can also do with women.  In this case, you took a fun swipe at me by commenting on my post and look: you now you have my (almost) undivided attention.  Winner: Caroline K

I say almost, because I'm dealing with laundry too.  Laughing

Wrong.  Americans have no awareness of other nationalities unless we have, are, or will drop bombs on their heads.   Half of us can't find Canada on a map, the other half thinks that Hawaii and Alaska have their own currencies.

Not entirely convinced even the "bomb dropping" helps with the geographical knowledge.

And yes the Hawaiin currency is pineapples and flowery necklaces whilst the Alaskan currency is frozen fish and Sarah Palin...everyone knows that ...jeeez.

There has been another forum running about restricting access to under 30's, over 80's etc but it looks as if this one is open to all nations except Swedes - or are they just so laid back that any comment from a Danish girl is jsut not worth replying to - or maybe we have all missed something and Stockholm has been renamed Denmark or Esbjerg

Yeah, yeah... ok, some of those are true, Richard, but at least we Americans understand the concept of CUSTOMER service, an idea which seems to be anathema to most of the businesses in Geneva.

Not to mention decently priced clothing, Mexican/El Salvadoran restaurants, and especially jazz and blues clubs...Cool

wouldnt be the first time the Danes have moved on Sweden...

The Dano-Swedish War 1657-1658 was a war between Sweden and Denmark. In 1657 Charles X of Sweden and his Swedish army was bogged down in Poland. Frederick III saw this as an opportunity to recover the territories lost in 1645 and attacked Sweden. The outbreak of war with Denmark provided Charles with an excuse to withdraw from the Polish campaign and move against Denmark.

Bremervörde in Swedish Bremen-Verden under Danish attack in 1657.

A harsh winter had forced the Dano-Norwegian fleet in port, and frozen the Great Belt and Little Belt. After entering Jutland from the south, a Swedish army of 7,000 battle-hardened veterans marched across the icy Little Belt on January 30, 1658. It captured the island Funen within few days, and soon thereafter Langeland, Lolland-Falster. The Swedish army continued to Zealand, threatening the Danish capital Copenhagen. The rapid Swedish attack across the frozen Belts was completely unexpected; Frederick III was compelled to surrender and signed the Treaty of Roskilde on February 26, 1658.

Sweden had won its most prestigious victory, and Denmark had suffered its most costly defeat[1]. Denmark was forced to yield the provinces of Scania, Halland, Blekinge and the island of Bornholm. Halland had already been under Swedish control since the signing of the Treaty of Brömsebro in 1645, but they now became Swedish territory indefinitely. Denmark also had to surrender the Norwegian provinces Bohuslän and Trøndelag to Sweden.

Following that interesting note from Charlie - is this a long-simmering movement instigated by the inhabitants of the ceded territories or is it something totally different?  N:B still no point of view from Sweden.
