Hello everybody,
I'm seeking a GP in Lausanne, and preferably one who speaks english. Any advice/experience is appreciated!
Btw, is it obligatory to have a GP? what is otherwise a procedure in case you get ill and need to see a doctor?
Thanks a lot.

all people living in CH need to have a sickness and accident insurance, it is obligatory. People who study here coming from countries where there is no insurance, should get one. The sheapest is Assura, but go to see on comparis.ch where you can study each insurance and what they pay.

Marlise, thanks but my question is not about the health insurance. I have one. I'm seeking a GP doctor, who i can always go to if i need to seek his advice on my condition.

Or « médecin de famille ». « GP » is the abbreviation for “General practitioner”.
R.
The one I visit speaks both French and English.
By contrast, he is at Epalinges...so if you do not live around, it could be a little bit far for you.
By the way, his name is Dr. Vauthey; at the moment I can recommend him to you as he is a good "médecin de famille".
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
