Have you or a family member had an accident in a business premise or similar environment where there is supposed to be civil liability insurance?
(this is not an advertisement for a law firm)
Bars, gyms, yoga studios, shopping centers, railway stations, etc are all supposed to have insurance.
There are many news reports now about how Crans fire victims will have to pay some share of the medical costs themselves now and then wait years for the courts to decide which insurance company should give money to victims.
There is so much friction in the system that it feels like your own medical/accident insurance company actually works against you.
Compare this to some other countries where "no-win no-fee" lawyers take your case and they do all the work for you. But in those countries, the lawyers sometimes take fifty percent of the final compensation.
I started a summary of news reports about the Crans fire and our own experience with a yoga studio (Fact or hyperbole: burns victims treated worse than the suspects). I decided not to write the name of the yoga studio because I suspect exactly the same thing could happen in any gym or yoga studio.
What experiences did other people have, either with their employer accident insurance (SUVA), private accident insurance for their family members (LaMal), legal protection insurance or anything related?
