I'm not sure where you're coming from. I found the video that Poster posted quite funny and can't see how it's in any way rude or insulting. Perhaps you could explain.

I think you also misunderstand the Glocals community. People often make jokes and link funny videos or pictures. But we NEVER insult people for their age, or tell them to 'get a life'.

I can recommand you a personalized wireless alarm, for which you buy a central, and add as much and as many as you need (door or window opening / motion / gaz / smoke detector, extra siren, wifi camera, remote, panic button, ...), and be notified on your / a (mobile) phone if anything is triggered. Easy to install, configure, and adapt.
