We live very happily in France, actually just outside Evian-les-Bains.
Adore it here. Have all the benefits of Switzerland, and none of the high costs!

Yes we did = and are very happy with the purchase. Not that this is for the faint-hearted but it certainly beats the UK system where people can and do often pull out at the last minute leaving everyone high and dry. Not possible here in France without major forfeit. Good thing an' all!
