`We just arrived and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend which cell phone carrier to go with, my wife will get one with swisscom through her company, but someone told me they found `orange to be better. Anyone have thoughts on this? TYIA

I think to be safe & ensuring best coverage + customer service is Swisscom.
Yeah many people will give you alot bad experiences of the telecom companies in Switzerland but still best is Swisscom, that is why 80% of businesses laneline and mobiles are with Swisscom. But its bit more expensive.

Frankly I think Swisscom and Orange are pretty much the same in terms of products, coverage, *cough* service, and prices.
The only reason why I hate Orange is because the ads they play in the cinemas make me vomit.

Don't touch Orange with a bargepole! They have a poor reputation.
Although we live in France just over the border, we have Swiss mobile numbers and use Yallo with which we have been more than delighted during many years.
They give a good package and one does not have to utilise a certain amount within a certain period which other companies insist upon.
