complaint about 'manics1984': is he too polite? and is he a secret agent of hamas?

A number of people have told me on and off site that I am too polite and boringly diplomatic in my posts. in addition to this revelation more than four people have informed me that i'm 'obsessed' with the middle east and that they suspect i may be a spy for hamas.

this being the case i am going to make a concerted effort to start telling people what i really think of them. it goes against all of my lower middle class conditioning but i feel it would be even more rude now not to be rude, if you see what i mean? i'm a victim of my own devotion to please. i'm also going to stop attending the monthly hamas pottery group (the infamous H.P.G.)in the red cross library in rue de carouge (sorry marksist).

so let's get started. first on my list of stupid glocals members (and it's a long list) is....oh damn where did i put it...hmm, it appears to have disappeared! well while i look for that list let me know what you think. but be forewarned, i've bought a book of swear words and i've been practising on my cat all day so i'm really tough and dangerous now!

I was just going to start this thread!

I, personally, I REALLY tired of all your anti-American rants!  And how dare you make any negative comments about our national saint, President Obama (hear the heavenly music), especially as he has an Irish 8th cousin!

You'd better watch your back around town or some of us US thugs are going to kidnap you and make you listen to really bad US shit-kickin' Miley Cyrus...

I would not criticise you for being too polite nor boringly diplomatic.  I think these are admirable qualities that demonstrate your civility.  However I do think on occasion you try too hard to accomodate some people who will never grant you that priviledge.  As well one can be as polite and boringly dipolmatic with brick walls but it is unlikely to get you anywhere.

So you are the one buliding those incendiary Hamas pieces of pottery, smuggled into Gaza and being thrown at Apache helicopters!  And doing it in a 'Red' organisation using the cross to deflect from their commie atheism!  Shame, shame!

Give my best regards to your cat and some extra caresses from me.  I hope you didn't upset its felines.

Manic

Diplomacy is the fine art of telling someone to "fekk off" and actually make him/her believe they will enjoy the journey.

I'm no diplomat, that's for certain, however I dont believe that you have reached the dizzy heights of telling anyone to get lost yet..(I may be wrong so I stand corrected if that's the case)...

So you still have a way to go before you reach "annoyingly nice status"...

Chill, and keep the PC levels high bro...Since there is a definite need for someone to counter-balance my obviously inept inability to be PC, to annoy almost everyone with my distinctly Un-PC and slanderous comments, and to gather reactionary feelings towards my misplaced and bad taste jokes....

Peace out.

@translator re the manics video...you had me at 'if'. LOVE that band so much it hurts! can any other band in the world write amazing political songs AND get to number one? a beautiful song about fighting fascism in the spanish civil war and an elegy for a time when working class people stood up for each other and stuck together.

Talking about beautiful songs...."a beautiful song about fighting fascism in the xxxxxxxxxx and an elegy for a time when xxxxxxxxxxxxx( a whole nation) stood up for each other and stuck together".......If this doesnt evoke goose bumps and a tear in yer eye, then youre harder than the nails in your grannies coffin...

I bet he is a spy. That's why he is too polite. It all probably started with the year 1984, which was a rather neutral, diplomatic year to be born into this boring, peace-loving, non-violent planet.

One must also pay careful attention to the diet. Keep away from anything that rhymes with hummus or falafels & embrace openly, all smokable herbal supplements that heal the world.

If all these fail to toughen your stance, you may don hip-hop clothes like I do and move to the wrong side of the Franco-Swiss border. We're famous to deal with hand grenades and kalashnikov-wielding suicide bombers here on a daily basis, which should make you feel at home. They greeted me with open 'arms' too, but lowered them as I unleashed evidence of my quasi-jungle book upbringing.

Plus, we won a recent Racaille (riff-raff) award by a narrow margin, which makes it acceptable to be a LOT ruder than we truly are.

Hope this helps you in your quest for enlightenment, heaven, paradise and its 72 virgins in the same way it is helping me. And my cat.

You may buy me a beer. I won't thank you for it, though. :)

V. - I think the "links/pics etc" applied only to Odeds post on reasons why the subthread was created... not in general... At least I hope not, or my comic abilty will be severely restricted.

Yes, however, as the term "Hamas" is contained in the thread's title, I was certain that this subject would be moved to the less visible part of the forum...Tongue out

Karl Popper's paradox of the tolerance of intolerance offers some interesting ideas on and problems with tolerance.  What I find most powerful is the idea of using rational argument to keep intolerant philosophies in check.  His paradox offers up solutions but also problems such as who will define what is 'intolerant' and 'rational'.  Even Popper wrote on 'the problem of knowledge' and thus there is a problem with defining 'rational'.  So perhaps we should just bash those we can't tolerate over the head and/or tell 'em to fekk off (or go forth and multiply) and run fast.

Dear manics1984,

I'd used 'links' last time and a certain Translator managed to attack that vulnerability, denying me of a well-deserved beer. Which is why, I'm writing this in Italics, so the English speaking folks on the forum cannot decode the message.

I can see some ladies on this site are trying to make you lose your focus. They will sweet talk you into trusting them, but what they are really after is - your innate ability to whiff out the differences between a golden Guinness and the drink of infidels, the Budweiser.

I have added a picture of the goodies you will be missing out in paradise, if you end up being nice to them.

Arun...

Without being argumenta tive but I take issue at your statement ;

"....a golden Guinness......" ???????????

Guinness is very dark red.... but no where near golden.... as every self respecting Guinness drinker should know.

However, rather than continue to lambast and ridicule you for such schoolboy errors, I have attached a picture below which forms part of a eye test to spot colour blindness... spot the number and you're forgiven this once, but not allowed any further such Guinness related errors... If you dont see it.... get yerself along to the clinic and all will be solved.

Good luck

Charlie,

I am caught, due to a technical-error. But I will not let you push me back to the pavilion with a hit-wicket decision.

Guinness is liquid gold, you aren't probably able to see it as you are keen on its physical manifestation. Its free-flowing nature could also play an important role in you overlooking its spiritual equivalence with the coveted metal.

However, since we are discussing scientific properties, I have found how gold too can be red, thanks to my schoolboy state-of-mind.

File:Ag-Au-Cu-colours-english.svg

I consider your molecular-amoeba-ball a racist attack. You hid the number 74, between floating pseudopodia to prove your point, having known of my colourless existence from my previous post.

I am sorry if I disturbed your colourful sentiments. For my clan will consider me a sinner for having hurt someone from your land of the dark-red Guinness, which may result in a reduction in my ration by a virgin or two.

Matey...

Two points:

1) its "71".... not (74)... although colour blindness is probably a good thing these days ~ sic.

2) Dark Ruby... the actual colour of Guinness, conforms more the the Cu element than to Au... although I forgive you the dropped slip catch of the "liquid gold euphamism" since many might agree with its spiritual properties.

So now , 3 overs played, its 3 wickets to me I think.

Any more spinners you want to play now? They seem to be all going wide . Tongue out

71? Silly-point. It is 74. You may ask the third umpire, Dr. Google.

The second point you hurled at me from gully though, alongwith potent forgiveness hit bull's eye on my third eye.

So, I stand corrected and withdraw my colourblind troops.

You see, while we're chucking tomatoes at each other, there are others bowling the maidens over and creating war. We need more beer out here.

well the domestic situation has deteriorated massively. my cat isn't speaking to me anymore so I've been reduced to dressing up as giant mouse just to get some attention. the only problem is i'm beginning to get a little bit too used to wearing my mouse costume. nearly walked out to work in it today. still if it keeps her ladyship happy...

@charlie: so many questions.

1. how does one get a cat (especially a grumpy cat) into such an outfit?

2. is this legal?

3. will posting and talking about this picture cause a new forum to be created on glocals for animal porn?

thanks dr. charlie.

It is prefectly legal to wear a Mickey Mouse costume and be on your way to loot a bank.

Don't even think of wearing a burkha and going for a walk in the park, though.

Moving on from Cats....

Back in the day when swordfighting was widely practiced by adults in the villages of Ireland.. instead of giving the children real swords, we gave them a ball and axe shaped sticks... this is what came out of it.....
