connecting a dishwasher

Hello!

I would like to connect my dishwasher and the washing machine to the water tap as installing a new connection would be to expensive for the time I stay. I know it is possible with the washing machine, but I never heard about a dishwasher. Does somebody know? People commented about problems with the water pressure ... the washing machine/dishwasher has to stand below the water tap ...

Thanks very much for the advice! I cannot wait having a dish washer!

Just make sure there are no specific rules where you live in regards to how those things are connected - many regies/owners will not let you connect such devices unless connected by a professional in the correct way.

If you have water damage or the like you will not be covered by insurance if they are not correctly installed :-)

Thanks Caroline!

Does connecting to the water tap mean - not correct installed? And it is therefore not covered by the insurance?

I am not quite sure -  if it is a loose installation, meaning you connect the machine when you use it only, I dont think it is considered correctly installed - that would be some sort of fixed installation, but check with your regie/insurance, would be terrible if something happened and you werent covered.

I just know that where I live I had to get someone out to install it and connect it properly under my zink :-)

Thanks a lot, Caroline, I will contact my insurance, let's see what they say. I definitely do not want to risk anything ...

Best,

Irene
