crossing borders daily

Hello all,

Does anybody know if a EU citizen living in the French border attending postgraduate studies in Geneva (that lasts for more than 3 months) needs a swiss permit? It doesn't seem to fit on the frontalier permit because it won't be for work, and the B permit sounds more for people living in Geneva.. Otherwise, I'm afraid the border control can make troubles when crossing it daily.

Tks!

I thought there was a special permit for students [maybe G permit]? although living in France as we do, this might not be entirely correct. Good luck.

AFAIK, if you are an European national and you live in France and come to Switzerland only to study, you don't need any permit.  But you might want to check with the Service Étrangers et Confédérés first.

Thanks Sheila and OmegaMan,

I was also thinking they should not ask for a permit.. I checked already in official sites but didn't find anythinhg so specific. That's why I was wondering if anybody is already in a similar situation to give me some tips.

Cheers!
