I was walking by Ethno today on my way back from lunch, and the place was cleaned out and closed down. No furniture. No decorations. The name had been chipped off the window. And above the bar someone wrote in crayon something poetic about lost dreams or something. (I didn't read it too closely. Who has time for poetry during working hours?)
Does anyone know what the story is? They obviously closed down, but why?

It's one of the legendary long-standing places in Geneva, and they seem to have gone under indeed...Wonder too what the story is.
Hope it's more romantic than just 'the crisis hit them'...:)

hi. there was an article in tribune de genève a few weeks back saying that the owner of the location of ethno bar wanted the space back to do his own restaurant or bar.
the ethno bar people had to leave as owner did not want to extend their rent of location. final party of last night of the bar was 2 weeks ago
