Wild about Wild!

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much. Arguments are to be avoided; they are always vulgar and often convincing. I am not young enough to know everything. If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

Fred Astaire was graceful but Kelly was that and everything else: athletic, humorous....  On the rare occasion I watch a Kelly documentary or clip I am amazed at his genius.  Thanks for another occasional reminder!

Hoping not to put a damper on this thread but a triumph of the will story/film is also an inspiring 'feel good' achievement as a good comedic one.  Just saw this film on my flight (edited as flight films are).  As cliche as it is to say, this film was moving.  Have you seen it and what did you think?

You're welcome. I've been impressed by his talent. I'd like to watch a documentary re: his life.

Hello,

Thanks for the post. I have not seen it yet but I will. Counterfeits during the world war is an interesting subject. Maybe this movie will teach some tricks (-:

"We^re on the same side now"

a very cynical statement.

I liked what the film director said

"if you are in a powerful position to make a statement you should make one"

I happened to have witnessed a very small demonstration in zurich staufacher with around 20 people chanting against the Iranian regime

they all seemed iranian , i did not see one swiss or european

I would have joined but my teenage girl pulled me away

( swiss born half european )

änyway , i dont like WW2 films especially but i do think that if anything is to be learned is not to accept tyrant regimes and to somehow try to understand your roots
