good quality furniture

Any suggestions where I can buy good quality furniture, made of solid wood (not the Ikea variety) and that will not warp in the tropics? Thanks.

If you want good quality English furniture go to Franck in rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau (or their showroom in Collex-Bossey) or Marway on avenue de Champel.

But if you will soon be exporting the furniture to a tropical country, you will find a better range of choice in London where there are stores specializing in the export of household goods to tropical countries.

In any case, good quality furniture doesn’t come cheap but it can be a very worthwhile investment.

Best, R.

Thank you Ritchie. As always, very helpful. It will be difficult to look up furniture in London so I was thinking nearer afield. And yes, good furniture is an investment I am willing to make. Thanks a ton.

Will look up the stuff in Pfister. Thanks for the tip and since I am looking at furniture as a long term investment, I am mentally preparing myself for some considerable sacrifices! Thank again.

Hi Isaac,

We are a custom furniture maker based in Vernier, office in St Jean. We build all styles of hardwood furniture, FSC accrediated indigenous or exotic hardwoods, lots of samples for you to look at to help the decision making process.

We are an entirely custom maker, no standard line, so in case you don't find what you are looking for we can help discuss and devlop a design.

I enclose a link to our website: http://www.wood-house.ch/ and Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WoodhouseCarpentry where you can see examples of our work.

Finally our listing on Glocals: http://www.glocals.com/guides/biz/Woodhouse-Carpentry/

Regards

Sam
