Hi, we are relatively new in Lausanne, now looking for an apartment in the area of Lausanne/ Morges/ Preverenges/ St Sulpice/ Ecublens etc... well at the state of the rental market here, we had to spread out :)

we have come across a major difficulty, we received so many rejections from several gerance immobiliers - after inquiring about it, we found out that in order to let us rent an apartment, they demand that we find a swiss person who can serve as our 'garant'....

Since we have been here for only a short while, unfortunately we don't know enough swiss people, certainly not ones we can ask for such a personal thing....

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this?
