First of all welcome to GVA. As you are aware, Geneva is one of the most competitive place on this planet when it comes to jobs. People from all over the world apply here in the hope of landing a contract. Open places are scarce, work permits can be a challenge and accommodation is a nightmare if you are on a budget. It is not uncommon for "simple" assistants to hold MBA's and speak 5-6 languages fluently.
So to answer your inquiry, yes you can find a job provided you qualify for a permit. If it will match your academic background is another question. Be ready to open-up your search...
So again welcome to Geneva and good luck

http://www.vandjassociates.com/
It was quite expensive but they did a really good job, when i read it i thought i had just fallen from the cross!
From there i did several things, cold calling, so just sending the cv with covering letter off to companies, i did put it with the agencies but honestly not speaking one of the languages they dont really touch you.
The best thing I did and got me my current job was register on www.monster.co.uk iused the english web site because that way i can understand how to fill the profile out, then you simply tick switzerland when you get to the where do you want to work part of the form, and wait for the emails to come thro offering you jobs.
Good luck
