Hi
I have looked at various sites here in Geneva looking for interesting ideas on entertaining children during the holidays. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place but so far have not found anything very stimulating. Any suggestions?
Cheers

Genevefamille.ch is a good referencial website. You can search activities according to age and location criterias:

If it's for a long period, sport clubs are always good. Try Les Vernets for hockey, ice-skating and swimming.

The museum of natural history is great for children, Yatouland is also fantastic as is Vitam Parc across the border in France.

I agree for Yatouland. One of my friends' daughter, who's 11, just loves it.
Now it depends of what she likes to do or what interests her.....

if you have a car, there is stuff outside of geneva, theres a (giant) dinosaur exhibition in woods in Vaud thats here for a couple of weeks... my kids loved it, but they were with friends too so may be biased.
Yatouland is something Im gonna try if the weather is poor since its indoors... my daughter will be 10 in Aug, and my son is 3.
Otherwise in the sunshine, vallorbe caves are fun..plus trout fishing nearby... Signal de bougy has a great park and small zoo.
there is a tree climbing place in Vaud which is very well done (tree to tree walkways and tightropes etc) All very safety concious etc so no worries of them falling out ... not sure what it is called since I cant do heights so i stay away... but my daughter loved it when she went with friends, and it has numerous different levels for experience etc.
there is a book called "out and about in geneva (and vaud) with kids) worth getting a copy from the english book store in town near cornavin
