So is it significantly better than the iPad2? Heard the Apple pitch about screen resolution being amazing - is it really?

Haven't played with an ipad two but I do like image quality. I find that the blacks lack detail. I also find that one of the limits is the original resolution of pictures. If you're looking at facebook pics through the facebook app they look bad. 

With the Kindle app the result is really good too.

I think the revolution compared to the iPad 2 is the screen, coming with Retina display of such size might be pretty amazing. That was the only thing I was waiting to upgrade from my first iPad.

I even read an article from a company or website specialized in screens, they said that the new iPad screen is the best from all the screens of tablets and on some points even for all screens.

Nokia will most likely come out with their Windows 8 tablet mid year. Should be bad ass as it will be a sub for the ordinary laptop. I suggest you wait. Ipad 3 is just a thicker version of 2 and Android has too many bugs.

This is right that the new iPad is just a evolution of the iPad 2. But that means there is no need to change if you have an iPad 2, but if you don't, then for the moment it is one of the best tablets.

Nokia won't be able to come with their Windows 8 tablet mid year as Windows 8 should be release not before automn... And hopefully for Nokia, if they release something 8 months later the new iPad it must be better than or they won't sell any! But if they do something awesome that's good for the market and for us!

you're probably right about the launch date. According to engadget Nokia is already working on the tablet and should be the first one out with W8. For now I would suggest to lay off the ipad 3 and stick with ipad 2 until something more revolutionary comes out
