my keyboard laptop is messy.. HELP

Hello,

Since I removed my wireless qwertz keyboard from my laptop (pc also with qwertz), my laptop keyboard is messy like j=1, K=2,L=3...

I tried to update the driver or change language.. but no effect. do you have any clue on how to fix it?

Many thanks in advance.

Lapy

Your virtual numeric keypad is on.  Turn it off.

try alt shift to see if that changes something

For sure your keyboard type or language has changed.

control panel - > keyboard

or

panneau de config. -> Clavier

is where you will find the settings

Here's a bit more info:

While holding the Fn key (most often, it is in the lower left corner of the laptop keyboard) press the virtual numeric keypad key (which is in the upper rows of the laptop keyboard and looks like a rectangle with a 3x4 grid of dots).

This turns on/off the virtual numeric keypad that associates the J K L U I O 7 8 9 keys to 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9.

The Fn key and the virtual numeric keypad key are in a different color than the rest of the keyboard keys to indicate that they perform laptop functions.  This makes it easy for you to spot them.

I was just realizing that blue on certain keys was exactly what showed up when I typed.

Many thanks for help, no need to have  an IT boyfriend! :p
