where will you be on this once in 'our' lifetime second? whether it's 07:07:07 am or pm, getting married on this day, standing by one of the newest member of the '7' wonders of the world ("WOW"), going to Lisbon for the annoucement of the new member of WOW, or simply watching the announcement in a pub as to which one of our mulitnational GOL members' homes will be the host to the 7th WOW monument, let's at least take this moment to thank out lucky stars for what we have - GOL for example! and if you're driving about, toot that horn gently; have a countdown with your significant other like on New Yrs Eve. ^x^
Like that Free Hug Fest or the IPod swing dance that took place all around the world, maybe GOL can start something and have spread across the globe. As of this very moment we're 10,000 members, enough to get the momentum going!!! Any ideas are welcome.

speaking of 08/08/08, i remembered the 2008 Summer Olympic is in Beijing.. and wouldn't you know, the opening date happens to have been 'shifted' to Aug 8, 2008. The original date was end of July but they pushed back the opening date by 2 wks, saying it due to weather concerns (i.e. too hot for the athletes during end of July). However, it just seems so perfectly coordinated that the new opening date coincides with their lucky number scheme. This should be a spectacular show opener!

Seems there's concerts all across the world promoting the environment. So going along the same theme, I thought maybe we can get GOLers to voluteer cleaning up some area of geneva that could use cleaning up, but I realize this is Switzerland (not London, not NY)... the strees are so clean they even hose down the sidewalks the day after the rubbishes are removed from the streetsides. So this may not be a such a grand idea.
If the weather's good, maybe we can get a huge crowd of people on bikes and roller blades to go cycling around the lake in demonstration of not using cars to get to places...maybe get police escorts and media coverage involved and make some noise!!!
anyone else with some ideas??
on a separate note.. why doesn't GENEVA do more RECYCLING??? can we start a petition to have the city do more to make recycling easier? any other tree huggers out there thing the same??
