seeking contact to live and work at a tea plantation for ca 1-2 months

Hello,

I'm trying to organize myself to live and work at a tea plantation for ca 1-2 months ideally in the Himalaya region or East Africa (spring 2013).

Bummer so far is that I did not yet succeed in making any contact to such opportunity. Does anyone happen to have any contacts that would give me such opportunity? Browsing the net has not yet delivered the right hit :-(.

Any hints and tips are highly welcome.

Well, and I always considered myself the guy with eccentric travel urges Laughing As for East Africa, you can't throw a stone w/o hitting a tea plantation around Fort Portal/Uganda. Not a direct contact, but I know that Aubrey Price, owner of the Ndali Lodge (http://www.ndalilodge.com/index_ndalicontactus.htm), has business contacts with a couple of owners in the area. Might be worth a shot, especially since you're willing to work for free. Great scenery, too!

Make that "I'm assuming you're willing to work for free?"

Note to admin: we really need an edit button here!
