short sheeted in Lausanne
Anyone have a suggestion on buying fitted sheets for a California King? size bed?  I know I can order online from the states, but perhaps there is a place to buy US size linnens in the area?

your best bet is to buy on line in the usa,
1-because here the prices are way too expensive
2-they don't have the size you need
3-the $ is almost at one to one with the swiss franc

short sheet a bed , we used to call it having your bed "frenched"
must be because the sheets in france (switzerland) don't fit american sized beds , lol

I know I can order in the states, which I often do, but it seems 9 times out of 10 my package gets stopped by the duane and I end up paying TVA and I hate that. And I don't want to bother anyone in my family asking them to repackage my purchases for me.

I thought maybe someone had found a solution to this problem - even though I never have (and I have lived here for a long time).

I should probably just change the bed, but it is so comfortable!

:-)

When Olivia Newton-John was living/working in California, she longed for many things from
Australia which weren't available in the US, most notably Vegemite.
So, she
opened a store in Los Angeles.
Sounds like you've found a market
opportunity. ;)

I have ordered many times from JC Penney's website.  I found their shipping costs to Switzerland reasonable and they have an excellent international services department.  I know that it's not a solution you want, but at least you can get the size you want.  And it also happens that they are having a bedding sale right now.

Good luck!
