I don't know if it was only sent to all American users of glocals or everyone, but I would like to thank Nir and Oded for the unexpected, very kind e-mail wishing us a happy Fourth of July.

It is so unusual for corporate sites to send something like that and especially in Switzerland where so many people are quite reserved. And it didn't include a tacky advert like a number of other commercial e-mails I received today ("a stylsh celebration--enjoy free shipping!" bleh). Even the U.S. mission and Embassy did not reach out to us (I guess they only do that to remind us of our tax filing obligations).

Thanks for this kind, thoughtful gesture, and for all your efforts in running this great site!

I didnt receive anything so that means that they only sent it to Americans which is indeed thoughtful. Not just a select all>sent email thing

I agree this was a very thoughtul gesture on the part of Nir and Oded. One question comest to mind though, ....is it only US citizens who receive this kind of message or are all other nationalities members of Glocals going to be congratulated on their national day?
