tpg tickets bought through orange

Hi everyone!


i was trying to get a tpg ticket last night with my phone, but the message kept showing as sending, no confirmation received with the actual ticket.


after about 5 minutes i deleted my 1st message and i tried sending it again...well about 10 minutes later, no more, no less than 17 tpg ticket messages came through.


i was only trying to avoid an 80 CHF fine, but orange will now try to charge me 42.50 CHF!


i called them, but the customer service guy kept telling me the same thing, if the connection did go through from my phone, orange does not take responsibility for any additional charges that i may get!?!


later in the night i was trying to answer to a friend's message, 9 hours later the message still shows that it's pending, but my friend already asked why i've sent the same message 7 times...


has anyone else experienced sth like this with orange, or other telephone providers? what did you do next?

havnt had this issue with orange or other provider, but that sucks. 


talk to tpg, i'm sure that when they ee you bought 17 tickets they'll understand there was an issue

I'm sure TPG will help you solve the issue. I've had another kind of problem with Orange : after using my phone abroad for the first time I checked the bill to see if it was worth using it or better to buy a local prepaid, and I noticed they had charged a wrong price for local calls. The amount overcharged was almost 10 chf. The second time I used my phone abroad, I also checked that part of the bill and this time they had charged calls from the country to fictitious mobile swiss numbers when I had called from the country to a local fixed-line... Again, the amount overcharged was almost 10 chf.

sorry to hear about your issues with them A.B. M.


happy to report that after a very high bill this month (42.50 CHF overcharge), a phone call later, the 2nd customer service agent was very understanding and happy to help with a refund.


not sure why the 1st agent couldn't understand they had an issue w the network.


the fact that later on the same day a friend of mine received 1 message 7 times at only 10-15 seconds apart did help in making my point.


do not give up! they have network and billing issues for which they should not overcharge their customers.

I have to say tho: apart from the signal issue you had, the service of buying TPG tickets via the phone is great, I love it!

i totally agree with you, Nir. i haven't bought a ticket at the machines since they started doing this.


Also, without even contacting TPG, they've sent me a message saying that they've noticed that due to a technical issue my telephone provider may have sent me several times the ticket i was trying to buy and that they will make sure i'm only charged once.


all i can say hats off to TPG.
