Going to Africa and need to get travel insurance. I care more about health insurance for travel more than any other inconvenience. Can anyone recommend a company?
Thanks for any help.

I personally like and use TCS (Assista) with their Livret ETI.
These pages are in French. You will need the World version (ETI Monde). You can buy on-line or drop into their nearest office.
Health Insurance:

Gosh! I hadn't even thought of them. We already subscribed to TCS for our car.
Thanks for the help!

I have spent several hours searching for UK style travel insurance. The Swiss policies seem to be focussed on the medical issues, rather than flight cancellations, baggage etc.
The best I have managed to find is: https://globelink.co.uk/. I spoke to a lady who said they cover people living in Switzerland. Obviously proof of how good a policy is comes in the claim, but best I have found so far.
FYI: The TCS policy does not seem to cover bad weather or airline failure etc.
I emailed ELVIA / mondial-assistance.ch to ask questions about their policy to be told:
Have you already booked your flights? If yes, then the coverage thru our annual policy for cancellation is not longer possible. We are very sorry for this. In our annual policy there is no baggage included. We can offer a separate baggage insruance for each trip. Please note, that the volcanic eruption is a force mjeure and never covered thru our insurance. The bankruptcy of an airline is also never covered.
Just a warning to those with travel insurance, wanting more than the medical related cover: I suggest you check what you are covered for. We almost found out the expensive way.
