unemployment benefits vs "complément de revenu".

Dear all,

would someone be able to advice, what are the concequences of accepting "complément de revenu" agreement while being unemployed? I am entitled to unemployment benefits, but if I accept the work agreement, which will pay me very little (less than 1,000 CHF per month), would I still be entitled to receive them?

Thank You, Eva

hi eva,

if your income from unemployment benefits does not amount to the "minimum vitale" around 2'600 sfr. per month, then the "compéimentaire" paid by the social services to make up the difference is totally allowed. You also will be eligible for your medical insurance and all costs will also be covered by the state.

you will not have "need" of the "complimentaire" as you will get 80%, less deductions, of your yearly salary, as long as you worked a minmum of 12 months in the last 2 years.
