visiting wineries
Hi,

Well it's getting close, I'll be in Geneva in about 5 weeks. I was wondering if anyone has any info on visiting wineries. Is it better to visit from Montreux or Geneva and are they open during the week?

Any info is most appreciated.

thank you

Wine tasting events coming soon: Saturday 5th of May, wine festival in Epesses, between Lausanne and Montreux, where you can taste local wines. It’s not my favourite but the setting is AMAZING.
12th of May: Caves ouvertes (open house day) in Geneva. It’s a great festival in all wine producing villages around Geneva, especially in Dardagny. Almost all the wine producers are open, let you taste what you want and don’t bother at all if you don’t buy anything. I can only recommend you to go if it falls within your stay. http://www.opage.ch/lesvinsdegeneve/ENG/viticulture.htm

Thank you, I'll be in Montreux from the 17th till the 21st and then I go to Geneva from the 21st till the 25th.

Thank you I'll look into it. I would love to buy some Swiss wines if they are good. We get very little here.

My favorite place to buy wine in Geneva is La Cit? des Vins, 3 bis rue de Coutance, in front of one of Manor's entrance. They've got a great choice and are extremely serviceable and helpful, give excellent advice.
