"rock" is quite different from "metal", and "metal" is also quite..ehmm...various.



for instance, I am at the "weird" end of "metal" - black, death, grind... and in dark electro lately as well (x-fusion, hocico etc.)



there was (is?) a great metal night club in hamburg ))

but it's a bit faaaar away ))

Death, Black, Grind, etc all different types of metal. There are hundreds of types lol. I spose the same as dance music, as that seems to have alot of variations.

Black and death metal aint my thing, id rather nu metal or industrial metal. Bands such as killswitch engage, chimaira, fear factory, bullet, etc.

only ever found 2 in geneva: first is at Usine sometimes they play that kinda stuff (once managed to see feeder there- half empty as nobody here knew who they were!)

other than that, there's a bar in the old town near springbrothers pub (sorry can't remember the name- something king or queen...) where i have heard an entire night of green day, korn, fear factory, deftones etc. isn't always that kind of music, and tends to be really young, but it makes such a nice change to hear that instead of lounge music and techno all the time!

oh, and i seem to remember Korn is playing live in the arena soon should you like them.

I will be arriving in a few weeks, and kinda want to start a metal band.

I like Bon Jovi, Coltrane, Pantera and Stevie Wonder.

I thought loud music was illegal, or at least heavily taxed in Switzerland.
