Never had a facial, nor manicure, nor pedicure, nor massage and think it might be about time to treat myself to a day of pampering.
Being that I am not at all spa savvy I'm looking for a place that can do everything I want and a place where I won't be made to feel like a complete buffoon for not knowing the ropes.
Something within a 1 hour or so drive of Geneva.

Well, even though I've never been to GVA, I am going to be there in September to run in the marathon. It's been highly recommended that I devote some "pampering" time to my body when I'm done with the race at this spa: http://www.bainsdesaillon.ch/?id=8 If you would like to go, let me know. So far, I'm flying solo.
All the best and let me know how you do. You'll feel beautiful and wonder why you've waited so long. :w00t:

A friend of mine spoke highly of Yverdon les Bains, I think that is less than an hour from Geneva. The complex is in the hotel of the same name.
