A challenge for a dance teacher !!!!

Would anyone be interested in teaching me to dance ..... well you will have to beat the odds, I am 55 and the saying goes: you can't teach an old dog new tricks. And that is not all; I am as stiff as an iron rod. And to top it all I have no rhythm, I cannot "feel" the music.
Why am I motivated? Well it comes from the heart, my wife (much younger than me) likes to dance and, although she doesn't say much about it, I know she is somewhat frustrated at times.
She is away for 2 to 3 week and I would like to surprise her at her return by taking her out to dance. So this is quite urgent. I am free anytime.
I hope it will happened, thank you
Jean

Hi Nir O,

Style, I need to be able to move in general, I guess disco or salsa. Must start with the easiest. Moneywise is one of the reasons I do not go to a dance school, the other is that I would feel a bit embarassed with too many people around. If you keen in the challenge we can discuss the fee keeping in mind I have a small budget.

Thank you

Shrek / Jean:

I wish I danced enough to be a teacher...(-: I have some friends who dance well, so was asking in order to refer them to you. But I doubt very much any of them would do it for free (or for nearly free). I think that if you want a private class, you'll have to fork out around CHF 100 / hour.

Seperate, I'm one of the glocals' moderator. May I pls ask you to delete one of your 2 profiles, as we don't allow 2 profiles for the same person.

Thanks,

Nir

I disabled the other account, dunno how to erase it completely.

As far as the dance is concerned, I am not especially looking for a professionmal teacher, I was hoping someone, good dancer keen in challenges ...  not for free but rather a friendly rate :)

Thank you

The Ecole Club Migros has a "Salsa stage" for beginners of only a single day with a professional teacher for only 25 CHF (Saturday, 27th february).

I know that one day is not enough - regardless whether you are extremely talented or not. But it's a beginning.

Someting nice and easy is Disco-Fox, but I have no idea where to learn and dance this in Geneva.
