Advice about living in Bons en Chablais

My husband and I are looking at buying a house in Bons en Chablais.

Does anyone live there, or know anyone who lives there, that could tell me about commute to Geneva? (we're both working in central Geneva).

Any tips welcome about living in Bons.

thanks

Hi

I don't live in Bons but I know this area rather well. It seems not very easy to commute to Geneva. However the following links can be helpful :

http://www.ter-sncf.com/Regions/rhone_alpes/Fr/Se_deplacer_en_TER/Pendant_mon_voyage/Guide_des_gares_TER/FicheGare.aspx?name=Bons%20en%20Chablais

http://www.frossard.eu/lignes_regulieres_presentation.phtml

Be careful : the trains stop at La gare des Eaux-Vives which is not la gare Cornavin (main station). There should be once a connection : http://195.15.24.5/CEVA/menu/Accueil/general/

Be also careful with the traffic in Bons (main street : a lot of traffic).

All the best

Hello Vincent, thanks for all that information! (and sorry for being late in saying thank you).

We researched the area, train times etc...and spoke to people who live there and apparently it's quite ok. The village/town has lots to offer, the train is easy to use and by cutting through small roads, one can be in Geneva in 30-35 minutes, so not too bad.

regards
